Raise your hand if you've had a slice of pie for breakfast... or lunch... or dinner. You're not alone! According to the American Pie Council more than $700 million in pies is sold every year, just at grocery stores. Pies have become so popular that they even have their own holiday, National Pie Day, happening December 1. Pies have come a long way since their first appearance at the Pilgrims table in 1623. Now you can find them all sorts of flavors, shapes, and sizes. To celebrate this delicious day, we're baking up our five favorite pies, from savory to sweet.
