Bravery is indeed required for this pico de gallo: It's got 3 serrano chiles, 1 killer habanero, and--just in case that wasn't enough--a little bit of black pepper.
2 large tomatoes, seeded and finely chopped
1 medium sweet onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
2 scallions, chopped
3 serrano chiles, finely chopped
1 habanero chile, seeded, deveined, and finely chopped
Juice of 1 lime
Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
Salt to taste
Mix all ingredients. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
