Mano a mano, the Bloody Mary loses out to the new queen of brunch.
2 oz. silver tequila
1 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 cup chopped cucumber
3 to 5 dashes Worcestershire sauce
3 to 5 dashes hot sauce
6 to 8 ice cubes
4 to 5 oz. V8 or tomato juice
1 wedge lime
1 small celery stalk, for garnish (optional)
1. In a blender, combine tequila, lime juice, garlic, cucumber, Worcestershire, and hot sauce. Blend until cucumber is puréed and fairly smooth.
2. Fill an 8-ounce glass with ice and pour in blended mixture. Add V8 or tomato juice and stir until well combined. Squeeze lime juice into drink. Garnish, if you like, with celery stalk and serve.
