Table Talk: Liga Masiva Cafe

Cafe, or cafe con leche; either way it’s a delicious treat that I have known since I was a niña. Recently, I tasted—and really enjoyed—a new coffee named Liga Masiva. Waking up a bit groggy from a long night of running around NYC hot spots in Louboutin heels while keeping a firm grip on a tall cocktail at all times, I found myself in dire need of my morning cup of Joe.

I cracked a new bag of this 100% organic coffee and engulfed the aroma, brewed the beans, then poured and devoured the delightfully flavorful cup of joe. Although I've always been partial to certain brands, café Liga Masiva instantly struck me as a new fave. Grown in the Dominican Republic and distributed from Washington Heights, NY this coffee stands for more than just a wake-me-up. It represents two worlds connecting, both 100% Latina and 100% American. The profits are also put to good use—pumping money back to the local farmers and the communities in Jarabacoa, DR where the coffee is cultivated. So, if you want to try a new and flavorful brand while supporting a worthwhile cause at the same time, then you should definitely have a cafecito of Liga Masiva.
