1999:

In an Anthony Vaccarello dress, Jennifer Lopez showed up Angelina Jolie by showing off her leg in a slit that left us saying holy cow! In regards to the Grammy wardrobe memo, the performer stated: "They didn't say anything about leg! I thought I was being such a good girl! A little shoulder, a little leg."

Though the dress was all-black, we have to say it was definitely not boring. But you tell us!

Mood Swings at Nicole Miller Fall 2013

Looks like the tomboy grew up to be a beautiful, sexy woman who still rocks tomboy style. Nicole Miller's dark and sensuous collection looked very much inspired by menswear but focused on fitting the feminine form and balancing it out with a few sexier styles.

While Miller's Fall 2013 collection lacked much color, an array of prints and a few sparks of burnt orange were spotted down the runway - just enough to give it a bit of life. Our favorite touch, of course, would be the fedoras...because really, who doesn't love a good fedora?

James Kaliardos for Ruffian Fall 2013

A little bit Victorian, a little bit Scottish, and a whole lot of red eyeshadow at Ruffian for Fall 2013.

MAC makeup artist James Kaliardos, who designed the look, focused on a very monochromatic look by using Loves Lure (a new product out this Spring) on both the lids as well as the cheek to give an intense flush. Staining the lip in a cranberry color, Kaliardos was able to pull together the look.

While there may be a lot going on, it pulled together beautifully on the runway and complimented the collection overall.
