Think of it as naughty and nice with an edge! This season we have been seeing the mix of dark and sweet, from Alexander McQueen, to Gucci, to Versace. The juxtaposition of studs with lace or the thrill of jeweled spikes touches on the good-girl-gone-bad mood that so many of today’s fashionistas are feeling (including the always stylish Demi Lovato). This trend will continue strong thru next season, when Punk: From Chaos to Couture opens at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2013.
