Sneakerheads rejoice! Nike is launching a collection of footwear in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
The popular sportswear company partnered up with four Latino street artist to create a capsule like no other. "Los Primeros Pack," which will be available through Hispanic Heritage Month - September 15th to October 15th - turned iconic sneakers such as Air Force 1 Low, Air Max 1, Cortez, and Air Jordan 1 into cool Latin-inspired kicks.
Here are the four dope designs:
NIKE CORTEZ BY INTI
Created by Chilean artist, Inti, this shoe is definitely one-of-a-kind. The artist was inspired by the different symbols in Latin American cultures and brought them together into one sick design.
AIR JORDAN 1 BY POMB
Brazilian artist, POMB, created a walking work of art. The urban artist from Sao Paulo is bringing the colorful street murals to your feet.
NIKE AIR MAX 1 BY WASAFU
Nike enlisted the help of another Chilean artist, Wasafu, to design some unique Air Max 1. The shoe, which features vivid red and white stripes, was inspired by nomads of Hispanic regions, the Ona people of Patagonia. Also known as the Selk’nam, the Ona migrated from unforgiving conditions in search of better opportunities. Thier ceremonial body painting was a big inspiration for this look.
NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW BY SANER
Mexican street artist, Saner, is helping us make a fierce statement. The Air Force 1 Low, which features faux jaguar fur, is inspired by pre-Hispanic cultures that believed the jaguar was a mystical creature.
The collection will be released one shoe at a time, throughout September 15 to October 15 at select Nike retailers, Nike SNKRS, and Nike.com.
