One of the trends for Spring 2011 is a Nautical theme. There are many ways to rock this trend - you can wear striped dresses, skirts or loose shorts with sailor or navy school boy blazers and even play around with neutral and bright colors. The star that graced the Oscar De La Renta F/W 2011 collection was definitely fur, like we’ve seen on many a runway this time around, hinting to us that Oscar’s more luxurious side is back. With the obvious trend in tow, there were a few other runner-ups that also made a grand impact on this Dominican designer’s collection. Paired with all the fur apparel were plenty of extravagant embellishments like a strapless beaded floral gown, feathered skirts, splashes of sequins, and Indian and tribal-inspired prints.
