Kat's Closet: Sexy Swimwear Tips!

I recently did a swimsuit spread with Vibe magazine and it totally got me in summer beach mode! Lately, I’ve been obsessed with swimwear and more importantly, cover-ups and swimwear accessories since you can find them all so cheap.

As you know, I love color, so that was a must for the swimwear shoot. Being sexy is also my thing, so if I’m not wearing a bikini, I’ll opt for a monokini as my one-piece.

As for cover-ups, I think it’s important to choose pieces that make your bikini still part of the outfit. What I wore on the shoot is a good example of that. Paired with a tiny bikini was a light crocheted H&M top with long fringes that allowed my bikini to peek through the top, but still kept me to feeling comfortable and fashionable if I wanted to head over to the bar. My second cover-up popped in an aqua blue color and had some serious stand-out appeal paired with a bright orange bikini. Many cover-ups are flowy and loose, so if you want to accentuate your waist add a fun casual belt and look beach fabulous! My last look was a sexy red number—a color you can never go wrong with and will never go out of style.

With all the swimwear looks, I rocked accessories. For all you ladies that think you can't wear accessories to the beach, you’re wrong. Just make sure the are fun casual accessories that are made out of plastic, wood, or feathers, so you don’t look like you’re are trying to hard and nothing expensive gets ruined or lost.

Trust me, you'll stand out, but in the right “beachy” way.
