Kat's Closet: Red Carpet Ready!

This past weekend I flew out to Los Angeles to do radio promotions for my new single ''Drop it Low" and to attend the MTV Video Music Awards. I also had to go to the BMI awards and a ton of other parties and events including a MUN2 interview and a club appearance for Kiss FM! I also had a Vibe magazine day-long photo shoot for a ''A Day in the Life of Kat Deluna'' piece they are working on.

Knowing I had so much to pack into four short days, I had to get my red carpet and my performance looks together. I picked my top three fave looks out of all the ones I rocked over the weekend and I want you to tell me which look you like best and could see yourself wearing!

The first look is very classic. It's inspired by Old Hollywood glamour, but with a young latin touch. I love it because its an unusual look for me. With my hair pulled back in a bun and red lips like a flamenco dancer, I felt like I belonged in the 60s. I wore a very tight long black symmetrical dress by Henan Lander and a colorful Giuseppe Zanotti purse with gold Giuseppe Zanotti heels. When I walked in to the room some people didn't recognize me, they thought I was an European girl!

For the VMA'S I wanted a edgy, fresh look. I wore a Jose Duran skin tight grey dress  with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and purse. My hair was styled pin straight and makeup was very classy edgy with a metallic smoky eye and a neutral shiny lip. Usually for award shows there's a risk someone else might wear your dress, so my stylist made sure that my shoes and dress were one of a kind and not in stores yet. I had fun and enjoyed the whole show—in fact, I've already mentally planned my performance for next year!

My third look, for the In Touch Weekly mag Icons and Idol's VMA after party, was based around a pretty Maisonette 1977 white dress. I absolutely loved the cut of the dress—it's classic and sexy. The makeup helped me achieve the look I wanted with a wash of gold on both eyes and glowing face! It was simple and tasteful.

Instead of going for a consistent look, I loved switching it up on this trip. What do you think?
