Ahead of the Fashion Week Trend: Opulence at Oscar de la Renta

The star that graced the Oscar De La Renta F/W 2011 collection was definitely fur, like we’ve seen on many a runway this time around, hinting to us that Oscar’s more luxurious side is back.  With the obvious trend in tow, there were a few other runner-ups that also made a grand impact on this Dominican designer’s collection. Paired with all the fur apparel were plenty of extravagant embellishments like a strapless beaded floral gown, feathered skirts, splashes of sequins, and Indian and tribal-inspired prints. The details and craftsmanship that go into a De La Renta piece express a sense of opulence that only he knows how to do best.

Although his pieces are one-of-a-kind, we can still find alternative inspirations to make us feel just as fabulous:
