
Ahead of the Fashion Week Trend: Carlos Campos & Menswear-Inspired Frocks

Carlos Campos frequently finds inspiration for his shows in his travels and this time around, the talented designer based his Fall/Winter 2011 Men’s Collection on the incredibly romantic stylings of Chile’s poet laureate Pablo Neruda.
“I’ve been familiar with his work since I was a kid, but when I went to Chile I got really into his poetry and was so impressed with his house that’s now a museum. He’s like a national hero there,” says Campos. Sticking to the effortless style of Neruda, Campos showed newsboy caps, pea coats and leather bomber jackets, in addition to relaxed fit high-waist trousers, classic blazers, and everyday chinos in rustic colors like cognac, dark green and blue.
