Hot Topic Releases Line Based on Guillermo del Toro's 'Book of Life'

Excited for Guillermo del Toro's upcoming flick The Book of Life? Now, you can share your excitement about the Day of the Dead inspired flick with the world — through your wardrobe!

In conjunction with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, Hot Topic will feature a limited-edition fashion collection inspired by the vividly animated flick, which hits theaters October 17.

Directed by Jorge R. GutierrezThe Book of Life draws inspiration from Dia de los Muertos as it follows the adventures of Manolo, a young man torn between the expectations of his family and his heart's desires. However, before he makes his decision, he embarks on an amazing journey that takes him to the Land of the Remembered. There, he must face his greatest fears. The film features the vocal work of Diego Luna, Zoe Saldana and Channing Tatum.

The clothing collection mirrors the imaginative and fantastical quality of the film. "The beautiful costumes and striking scenery in The Book of Life provided the perfect inspiration for a collection that celebrates Mexican culture — past and present — with a bit of rockabilly style our customers will be really excited about," said Cindy Levitt, SVP, Merchandising and Marketing of Hot Topic.

In addition to the fashion collection, the retailer will also offer jewelry, accessories and fragrances inspired by the film.

Check out a few of the looks below! You can purchase the collection in store and online at Hot Topic starting September 15.
