Images of Narciso Rodriguez's new line for Kohl's have hit the web, and they sure don't disappoint. The clothing was ispired by Istanbul, where Rodriguez spent four days with Kohl's executives, visiting museums, palaces and bazaars to get a feel for the city. He then translated that into his collection.
“There is such a great mix of Europe and Asia [in Istanbul], and a really cool new scene, from the arts to the kids, the graffiti, the colors of the streets, the patinas on the walls, the tiles on the floors,” Rodriguez told WWD.
The new collection is part of a new Kohl's initative called Design Nation, which will be a program for design collaboration and cultural inspiration. It launches in November, and Rodriguez will kick off the program. Each designer will get to visit a city of their choosing and then launch a line that will reflect not only the designer's aesthetic, but the city's aesthetic as well.
Rodriguez's line will be priced from $30 to $150. From what we can see, bold colors pair with geometric shapes and graphic dresses. We can't wait to see the rest of the line!
What do you think? Will you be hitting Kohl's to pick up these pieces?
