For Everything But Water's 30th anniversary, the swimwear retailer released a 30-piece collection inspired after Hollywood’s most memorable moment.
Everything But Water asked 30 designers, including Cuban swimwear designer Luli Fama and Brazilian model Alessandra Ambrosio, to add their own creative twist on these iconic looks for the modern woman.
Thanks to this exclusive collection, you can now channel iconic moments of some of Hollywood’s favorite Latinas!
Who could forget Jennifer Lopez’s green Versace dress for the 42nd Grammy Awards ceremony? Designer Lotta Stensson decided to give this infamous red carpet gown her own personal touch. “Jennifer Lopez’s appearance in a daringly open green caftan is a fashion moment no one will forget” the designer commented. “I reinterpreted the look with my striking palm print to create a showstopper that is also easy to wear on vacation or when entertaining.”
Raquel Welch in One Million Years B.C. was also an inspiration for L*Space by Monica Wise's swimsuit. The designer was inspired by Welch’s confidence in the 1966 film. “The suit is designed for a woman who is confident and isn’t afraid to stand out in a crowd.”
Wise added, “The original look was classic, sexy and fierce. I have always had a love of the wild, both personally and as a designer, and was focused on what this woman warrior would want in today’s world. The cups are reminiscent of ancient warrior spearheads and the leather on Raquel Welch’s spear inspired the cross-body warp.”
The 30-piece collection, which retails from $55 to $599, is now available exclusively at Everything But Water stores and online.
