The Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2011 fashion show at Lincoln Center was nothing short of a who's who in the fashion world. Although the guest list may have been high maintenance, the collection had a minimalist air best demonstrated by the long dresses in muted colors Rodriguez sent down the runway. "There were many things that inspired this collection," Rodriguez told Latina.com. "The work of video artist Jennifer Steinkamp, women of great personal style like Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and photos of Kate Moss in the mid 90s."

This season, the ever-elegant Venezuelan designer Carolina Herrera drew inspiration from vintage flower prints and traditional Korean clothing. Hair stylist Orlando Pita for Moroccanoil and MAC makeup artist Diane Kendal chose to focus on the Korean influences, making hair sleek and angular and keeping makeup minimal except for a bold red eye shadow.

Brazilian designer, Alexandre Herchcovitch, showcased his sexy Spring 2011 collection for Rosa Cha yesterday at Lincoln Center. The beachwear was reminiscent of 1950’s lingerie, featuring structured bras, high-waists and tapered lines accentuating the curves of a woman’s body. For the first time in addition to the bathing suits, ballerina-like dresses with sheer accents made the cut for Rosa Cha's collection.

At Rosa Cha (the queen of super-sexy Brazilian bikinis), MAC makeup artist Nadine Luke played off the “birds of paradise” fashion inspiration and created a vibrant two-toned blue and orange eye. Her pro tip: By layering the blue eye pencil and blue cream eye shadow (both in a shade called “Cyan”), the color won’t budge—even under hot runway lights. She finished the eye with MAC StudioFix Lash, $14, maccosmetics.com, which she describes as a “credit card product; don’t leave home without it!”

After creating his ocean-inspired spring collection, Carmen Marc Valvo came to MAC makeup artist Romero Jennings knowing that a teal eye would be the perfect complement. Romero modernized the classic 60s shade by pairing it with a light gold-green metallic (the new MAC shade, called Dalliance, will be available this spring) and a neutral, brownish-pink lip color (the shade, called Super is part of a new Kissable Lip Color line also coming out in spring).
