While we anxiously await the launch of Nicole Richie's first jewelry collection, House of Harlow 1960, the petite fashionista was recently spotted wearing a few of the items herself, most likely in a clever attempt to hype up their release. L.A. Fashion Week has always held second candle to the more prestigious fashion weeks around the world: New York, Milan, London and Paris. After all, it's the city that gave Lauren Conrad carte blanche to create her unbelievably lame debut line! And all too often, the shows coming from Smashbox feel anemic and lackluster. Dominican beauty (and future Lancôme spokesmodel) Arlenis Sosa Peña was the star at Oscar de la Renta's spring 2009 show, kicking off the runway in a blue and gray maillot and closing it out in a silver column dress.
