In addition to her upcoming spring ad campaigns for Dior, Versace and Rampage, she has now been tapped to be the face of premium denim brand True Religion.

Camila Alves might have it all—beauty, riches, a new baby and Matthew McConaughey by her side—but according to L.A. boutique Kitson, no one wants to shell out cash to buy her overpriced handbags. The Brazilian former model launched Muxo, a line of high-end bags and purses for men and women last August. Kitson says that they have only been able to sell half of the merchandise ordered, leaving them with a $25,000 deficit.

The 12th annual Fashion Group International Rising Star Awards were held in New York City on Thursday, and Sergio Davila and Carlos Campos tied in the men’s apparel category.
Everyone at the event agreed that this type of recognition is particularly helpful during these bad economic times. In stressing the importance of support, Davila told the crowd gathered at The Rainbow Room, “I hope to see you all at fashion week in Bryant Park. You are all invited.”

After Michelle Obama chose Isabel Toledo’s lemongrass-colored design to wear to her husband’s swearing in ceremony, Creative Director of Barneys New York and personal friend of the designer, Simon Doonan, decided to tear down the window displays of the Madison Avenue store and replace them with an homage to Toledo.

We weren't the only ones pleasantly surprised to see Michelle Obama wearing a dress by Isabel Toledo at yesterday's inauguration. So was the designer herself!
“We’re all up here watching the T.V.,” Toledo told the New York Times, just as the ceremony was underway. “It’s great. We’re so happy.” The Cuban American designer says she was not absolutely sure that the First Lady would be wearing her look until it was there for all the world to see.

The couple arrived at St. John's Episcopal Church at 8:50am this morning, and Michelle beamed in a sparkling sheath dress with matching coat.
