WWD is reporting that Marc Jacobs and his Brazilian boyfriend of roughly a year, Lorenzo Martone, are engaged. Just a few days ago, Martone, an ad executive, hinted to Fashion Week Daily that they were taking their relationship to the next level. “It's really early to share, but our relationship is getting stronger and more mature,” he said.

Narciso Rodriguez, along with Marc Jacobs and Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy are the nominees for the 2009 Womenswear Designer of the Year award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, WWD reports. In addition, Lazaro Hernandez is up for the Accessory Designer of the Year award.

Camila Alves might have it all—beauty, riches, a new baby and Matthew McConaughey by her side—but according to L.A. boutique Kitson, no one wants to shell out cash to buy her overpriced handbags. The Brazilian former model launched Muxo, a line of high-end bags and purses for men and women last August. Kitson says that they have only been able to sell half of the merchandise ordered, leaving them with a $25,000 deficit.
