Oscar de la Renta has famously criticized First Lady Michelle Obama's fashion choices in the past. First, he lamented her decision to wear only American designers through her first few months in office. Then he talked smack about her choice to wear accessible clothing line J. Crew to high profile events, saying, "I think it’s wrong to go in one direction only."

Brian Reyes’s take on fashion for spring of 2010 was a true mixture of dark and light. Although there was a lot of black on display, most of the darker pieces were made using lighter-than-air, sheer fabrics and maintained a feminine edge with fluttery sleeves.
