An hour before the show is about to begin fashion designer Paola Hernandez is prepping the looks, models are hanging outside texting on their phones, and the bartender is setting up his station. It’s pretty hot and chaotic inside Churner and Churner Gallery, the Chelsea art space that is hosting Hernandez’ Spring 2014 Collection titled Singularity, and we don’t mind the mayhem one bit.

Technically speaking, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week starts tomorrow here in New York City, but somehow it feels like it's already been going on for a week! There's so much planning and prep that goes into an editor's Fashion Week schedule, so we cannot even imagine how much planning went into putting together each designer's collections for Spring/Summer 2014.

If you ever wanted to be one of the cool kids, then Saturday night at The Highline Room at The Standard Hotel in NYC was your check-in point. To the tunes of DJ Chelsea Leyland and notable guest, rapper Vinny Cha$e, accessory designer Alejandro Ingelmo debuted his Fall/Winter 2013 collection to a full room - so full that Latina couldn't even get a chance to speak to the Cuban-American!

Always the hit maker, Tracy Reese, knocked it out of the tents again this season. With so many people anxiously waiting for the show to start, seats were dwindling and mine was taken. As I was almost struck down by sadness, the PR team moved this Latina to the front row seconds before the show started.
The next few minutes were so intense that I found myself picking up my jaw look after look. While a lot of other designers went the moody route, Tracy Reese sent bold, raw sophistication down the runway.
