Salma Hayek stole the Cannes Film Festival spotlight when she showed up in her stunning one-of-a-kind Gucci Premiere couture gown (the first of the luxury label's new couture line) to the premiere of Robin Hood. Now, she is stealing our hearts.

Hayek donated the gorgeous burgundy gown to help her BFF Penelope Cruz raise money for Haiti. Cruz teamed up with famed jewelry house Chopard and held a special auction in France on the last day of the festival in the hopes of helping the devastated island country.

The beautiful, burgundy, one-shouldered gown was purchased by one lucky bidder with deep pockets for around $21,000. The dress came complete with the original sketch for the gown, signed by Gucci creative director Frida Giannini.

Mariela Rosario,

I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.
