Fashion Week Spring 2010: Brian Reyes

Brian Reyes’s take on fashion for spring of 2010 was a true mixture of dark and light. Although there was a lot of black on display, most of the darker pieces were made using lighter-than-air, sheer fabrics and maintained a feminine edge with fluttery sleeves.
Ink blot prints, reminiscent of Rorschach tests, lent a cerebral air to the collection and bold flashes of red popped up everywhere, from the Manolo Blahnik sandals to the blood-stained lips on the models. Bustier dresses, tiered skirts and sweetheart necklines illustrated Reyes’s keen eye for details and his expertise at complementing the female form.
