FASHION WEEK: Flawless Beauty at Rosa Cha
| 09/08/2008 - 14:01 |
No one heats up the Bryant Park tents like Amir Slama, the designer behind Brazilian swimwear line Rosa Cha. On an otherwise gloomy Saturday afternoon (thank you, tropical storm Hanna), Slama's barely-there bikinis took to the runway, with samba beats blaring and a crowd that included Rosario Dawson and Zoe Saldana shimmying in their seats. This time, the color palette was more subdued, consisting mainly of white, greys and cool melons (think honeydew and cantaloupe), and the prints were reserved mostly for windblown caftans and coverups. Perfect for lounging on your yacht in St. Tropez...or, if you're like us, in your most fabulous fantasy.
Before the show, Latina.com went behind the scenes for a chat with Gordon Espinet, the MAC Cosmetics makeup artist who created a simple yet stunning look for Rosa Cha Spring 2009. Press play to watch our backstage interview, plus the final results on the runway!
