Lindsay Lohan is in Paris, reportedly in talks to collaborate with the House of Emanuel Ungaro and sign on as a "creative consultant" for the fashion line. But Ungaro's head designer, Colombiano Esteban Cortazar is not feeling the partnership.
"Esteban is threatening to leave the company if they bring Lindsay on as a consultant," a fashion insider told he NY Post, "It has been a revolving door of designers there and if he leaves, his team will go with him."
The embattled fashion house scooped Cortazar up back in 2007, when the designer was just 23 years old and the young, up-and-comer put his own line on hold to help bring Ungaro back to the prestigious status it had once enjoyed. Since then, Cortazar has received rave reviews for the work he has done with the line and his first collection for Ungaro, shown last March during NYC Fashion week, was a critical success.
The source goes on to explain Cortazar's reluctance to work with the troubled starlet, saying, "Ungaro thinks Lindsay is going to bring the company new energy and new buzz, but she is going to be the nail in the coffin. Nobody will take them seriously ever again." Unfortunately for Lindsay, we'd have to agree!
