Shakira Dishes on VMA Fashion Faux Pas

Shakira spilled some details about the red carpet styling mishap that resulted in her and Pink rocking the exact same Balmain leather mini-dress to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

Apparently, Shaki's stylist made the big mistake of telling the pint-sized pop star that her dress was one-of-a-kind. "The funniest thing is that my stylist told me, 'You’re going to wear a one-of-a-kind dress, nobody else in the world has it!'" Shakira dished to People.com, "And I was like, well, you know, I like the dress. I don’t really care if anybody else has it or not—but how was I going to imagine that Pink had the same dress! Luckily I was on the red carpet first, so technically…"

Shakira took the fashion face-off all in stride and laughed off the moment, but we're 100 percent sure somebody got fired later on that night! Luckily for Shaki, most folks still seemed to think she pulled off the look better than her punk-pop counterpart.
