Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber
Oh, to be young and filthy rich, and adored by millions of tweens around the world. Such is the life of Selena Gomez and novio Justin Bieber so why not become them for at least one night? As long as your dude sports his hair ala Bieber (long and swooped to the side covering the entire forehead), wearing white pants and a purple hoodie, people will definitely know who you are. As for Gomez, wear a brunette wig parted on the side and curled to achieve nice big waves. Wear minimal makeup, lip gloss and, most importantly, be attached at the hip!
Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler
This dress-up option is perfect for those couples that are on opposite ends of the Halloween spectrum, which basically means you want to dress up and he doesn’t. Here’s what you do: To channel Christina Aguilera, get a platinum blond wig, wear bright red lipstick, tons of eye makeup, and wear a skimpy, tight dress that leaves little to imagination (ahem, cleavage isn't a bad thing tonight). Now if you’re man doesn’t want to dress up, but won’t let you out of his sight (especially looking like that) then he can basically wear a hoodie and jeans, just like Aguilera’s BF, Matt Rutler.
Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem
How can you dress up like one of the hottest couples in Hollywood? Simple: transform yourself into one of their beloved characters. For Penelope Cruz we suggest recreating her look from Vicky Cristina Barcelona in which she wears a lace white dress and a black brim hat. You could also opt to dress like Cruz as she did in Volver and wear a floral tight dress, your hair up with a flower on the side. One of Javier Bardem’s most recognized characters was as Anton in No Country For Old Men. Your man needs a women’s short haired-wig that has long bangs and scoop to the side, and a jean jacket. The wig alone will freak out anyone.
Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova
This one is a goody. For Anna Kournikova wear a long blond wig and even though she doesn’t play tennis anymore (how else would others know her, really?) wear a tennis outfit, preferably a short skirt. For Enrique Iglesias, although he has since had his mole removed, you might want add a fake mole below the right eye for costume purposes (it’s more recognizable that way!). You can either wear a trucker hat, or a beanie to top off the whole look.
Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart
Jennifer Lopez loves sparkly short dresses and big hair. Show off the legs in a Vegas style number while teasing the hair to create a big puffy look, you’ll be looking like one of the most high-profiled Latinas in history. As for her boy toy, Casper Smart, your man should either have a buzz cut, or just slick the hair back to create a very short do. And wear big black sunglasses with a suit minus the tie.
Sofia Vergara and Ed O'Neill from Modern Family
Dressing up like Sofia Vergara and Ed O'Neill in Modern Family is a lot more fun than dressing up as the real Vergara and her fiance Nick Loeb. Here’s why: Ed O’Neill’s character is big and burly so your partner should just stuff his shirt to look like a football player, while wearing dad attire. As for Vergara’s character, she likes to wear tight dresses usually with an animal print. Part your hair in the middle and wear a bright lip color and poof! Don’t forget to talk with a thick Spanish accent.
Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz
You can’t go wrong with this iconic couple. For both Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz wear white, black or gray clothing to achieve that black and white retro television look from the ‘50s. But for Ball wear a red vintage wig with an updo. Arnaz's look should reflect his bandleader persona, so wear a tux and have congas, and/or maracas to achieve the full effect.
Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera
Think vibrant color and Mexican history and you’ve got two of the most influential artist couples in the world. When attempting to dress up as Diego Rivera padding in the belly area is key, while wearing a cardigan and brown slacks which adheres to his retro look. For Frida Kahlo, aside from painting on a unibrow, wear a big and long traditional Mexican skirt with a floral top, a rebozo and your hair in braided buns.
