Vote for your favorites and head back here on Sunday night to see and comment on their 2011 dresses.
1. Oscar Fashion: Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz always manages to effortlessly combine her California-cool style with the glamorous red carpet of the Oscars. In 1998 on the arm of then-boyfriend Matt Dillon, she took a risk in a white blouse and long pale blue skirt. She showed some skin in 2000 in a deep-V, black Versace with a high slit. In 2002, she was bohemian in a floral Emanuel Ungaro wrap gown. Cameron played it safe in 2003 with a pretty black Prada gown. With her darker locks in 2007, she wowed in a white Valentino off-the-shoulder gown with a high-low hemline. She was pretty in a pink pleated Christian Dior strapless gown in 2008. She was breath-taking last year in her gold beaded Oscar de la Renta strapless gown.
2. Oscar Fashion: Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez has been to the Oscars so many times, we had to just pick our six favorite looks of hers. On the same weekend her movie Selena came to theaters in 1997, she chose a silver lace square-neck gown. A few years later in 2001, she took a risk with a muted green Chanel asymmetrical ensemble. She turned heads the next year when she wore a pale pink Versace bustier gown with very big hair. In 2003, she channeled Jackie O in a mint green Valentino caftan. Jennifer pulled off bejeweled Marchesa and retro waves at the ceremony in 2007. Last year, she was stunning in a white Armani Prive strapless gown.
3. Oscar Fashion: Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek has been all over the place with her Oscar dress choices, but she always manages to be a delightful surprise. In 1997, she arrived on the arm of Luis Miguel in a white beaded Armani scoopneck gown with a 1920s diamond tiara. She stood out in 2000 with a shimmery lavender halter by Erik Gaskins. When she was nominated for her role in Frida in 2003, her original Narciso Rodriguez gown was accidentally torn before her red carpet walk. She went with a gorgeous second choice — a Carolina Herrera black lace top and A-line white skirt. In 2005, she was a knockout in a curve-hugging navy blue Prada gown with black embellishments. She proved that symmetry is overrated when she chose a teal Versace gown in 2006.
4. Oscar Fashion: Penelope Cruz
Penelope Cruz has won and lost at the Oscars, but she always seems to be a fashion winner at the big event. In 2000, she was a classic beauty in a blue, strapless Ralph Lauren gown with a sheer wrap. As a presenter in 2001, Penelope clung to her Spanish roots in a black sparkly lace Ralph Lauren off-the-shoulder gown. She exuded absolute joy in an Oscar de la Renta yellow strapless gown at the awards ceremony in 2005. All eyes were on her in 2007 when she wore the blush-colored Versace gown. She went dark in 2008 with a navy strapless Chanel Haute Couture feathered gown. When she won the Best Supporting Actress award in 2009, she was perfection in vintage Balmain. Last year, she chose a deep red, pleated and ruched Donna Karan couture gown.
