The Cannes Film Festival is a fashionista's dream. The elegant night life, the oh-so-chic French Riviera and all those celebs! Even our stars feel the pressure to look their best day and night. Here's a look at some of our fave chicas strutting their stuff for the cameras at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
The Spanish actress looked gorgeous in a navy blue Stella McCartney number for the first photo call for her new film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides alongside costar Johnny Depp. That night, Cruz changed into a beaded, chiffon dress from the Marchesa Fall 2011 collection.
Mexican actress Salma Hayek popped out of a boot for the most fantastic entrance at Cannes this year by far. Standing alongside her costar Antonio Banderas, she rocked a sexy, red leather Gucci sheath dress accented by a feather bolero jacket. For the opening night of Cannes, she went more romantic and formal in a metallic grey Gucci Premiere strapless embroidered gown.
Part Puerto Rican actress Rosario Dawson recently admitted that going to Cannes ups the pressure to dress perfectly, "It's one of the few places in the world where you are a model at all times," she told MTV News. Dawson chose an elegant, nude, floor-length Calvin Klein gown for the designer’s Women in Independent Film event and looked gorgeous. Later that evening she upped the ante for the CAA Party with Grey Goose at Soho House Cannes in a form-fitting long black gown with all-over sparkle.
Vega is always a daring fashionista and this year’s Cannes film festival proved no different. For her night look, she chose an Azzaro Fall 2010 dove grey jumpsuit, accented with an embellished collar and a bow at the waist. For a Piper-Heidsieck event, she donned a black Roberto Cavalli gown with a sheer top and a long column skirt.
In attendance at the Calvin Klein event with Rosario Dawson was Jamie Lynn-Sigler, who donned a long, strapless army green dress. For the Art Of Elysium 3rd Annual Paradis Event she chose to walk on the wild side, with an animal print, floor-length dress.
