Color-Blocked Stripes and Capes Galore at BCBG’s Fall 2014 Fashion Week Show

BCBG signals the start of New York Fashion Week for most editors every season, and thus we enter the Lincoln Center tents excited, overly caffeinated, and on a day like today—FREEZING. Luckily the stream of fur capelets, super-soft, high-low coats, and Sherpa-esque jackets coming down the runway reminded us just why we love fall fashion.

Max and Lubov Azria and their team outdid themselves once again with a collection based around strong graphic patterns and fuzzy outwear pieces that everyone (and we mean everyone) will be coveting at soon as they hit stores.

Leather-paneled dresses, boxy shifts layered over swing midi skirts, and taupe muffs all took their turn on the catwalk, but the focus really was on the major coats. From the streamlined neutral toppers to the over-the-top ponchos, we felt warmer instantly.

Also, this dress was everything. Between the flowing silhouette, the sexy, strategically placed cut out, and the dark watercolor feel of the print, we were swooning. We’ll take one of everything please!
