USA Network's hit show Queen of the South is getting the addition of two Telemundo stars.
The network has tapped Michel Duval and Ximena Duque for special appearances in Season 2. The series, based on the best-selling novel La Reina del Sur by author Arturo Pérez-Reverte, follows main character Teresa Mendoza, played by Alice Braga, and her rise to the top of the drug world. Duval, known for his role in Señora Acero, will be thrown into the mix as Enrique "Kique" Jimenez. The actor's character will be the heartthrob son of cartel leader Boaz Jimenez, and though he may seemed destined to follow in his papi's footsteps, Jimenez yearns for something deeper. Duque, on the other hand, will play Eva, a smart, young assistant to character Epifanio Vargas. Duque's character is described as "lively and fun", but with questionable morals.
The two join previously announced special crossover guest star Rafael Amaya , known for El Señor de los Cielos, as Aurelio Casillas. Just last year, the network announced the hit show had been renewed for a second season, which will air later this year.
