A magical weekend is upon us.
For this week’s What to Watch, we want to highlight Syfy’s new upcoming mini-series Neverland. The two-night series bases itself as a prequel to Peter Pan, the classic character created by the late Scottish novelist and playwright J.M. Barrie.
The miniseries, which premieres this Sunday, Dec. 4 and Monday, Dec. 5 at 9/8c, follows Peter and his fellow pickpocketing friends as they explore a world called Neverland after being transported there by a magical orb. The world Peter Pan and his friends find is filled with tree spirits and other mysteries, and soon the gang finds themselves in a fight to save the magical realm.
They’re going to need some help – which brings us to Aaya (or Tiger Lily), the daughter of the Kaw chief. Aaya joins the effort to help Peter (played by Charlie Rowe) and his friends try to stop those who plan on damaging Neverland. The girl is played by part-Peruvian actress Q’orianka Kilcher, who we introduced to you all this week.
Because the 21-year-old actress is fierce in all she does (Kilcher was arrested last year with her mother after tying herself to a White House fence during a protest), we’re sure this new role will be as kick-ass as she is.
