Because Jennifer Lopez is a Boricua superwoman and has a million things going on at once, we figured we’d compile everything she's been up to lately and give you a recap. Here’s this week in J.Lo news:
Carmen Sandiego: According to Deadline, Walden Media has nabbed the rights for a live-action film centered on Where In the World Is Carmen Sandiego? – and Lopez will reportedly produce it. You may be familiar with Carmen Sandiego – the media franchise began as a collection of educational computer and video games but was turned into an animated television program later on. Her Nuyorican Productions’ partners Simon Fields and Benny Medina are also set to help.
Q’Viva: The Chosen: Lopez has finally begun her search for Latin America’s hottest talent this week for her reality talent show Q’Viva: The Chosen. The superstar is currently in Argentina, filming for the show. Lopez’s estranged husband, Puerto Rican salsero Marc Anthony, has also been traveling on his own as well for the show.
You’re fired!: According to TV Guide, Lopez fired her manager for hinting she should lose weight. The website cited Glamour, which Lopez graces the cover of for its December issue. “I was just so infuriated that somebody said you couldn't have a little extra meat on you – because I was by no means fat!” the singer/actress said. Lopez said she felt the comment was close-minded. “I was like: ‘No, this is who I am and this is the type of woman that I grew up with and it's beautiful,” she said. “There's no reason to be anybody but myself.’” You go, chica!
