WATCH: Shakira Talks 'The Voice' Beating 'American Idol' on 'Oprah's Next Chapter'

Though Shakira is leaving The Voice, there’s no doubt that the 36-year-old Colombian superstar has left an impact on the singing competition.

Earlier this year, we reported that the NBC show has had a 4.9% ratings increase (with 13.7 million viewers) – numbers that Oprah Winfrey could not overlook on this past weekend’s episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter.

“In March, this show, your show, The Voice, beat American Idol for the first time,” Winfrey said to both Shakira and fellow coach Usher in a sit down interview. “Do you think that the two of you coming onto the show had anything at all to do with that?”

Since Usher had been in a chatty mood, he let Shakira take a turn at answering the question – and, as always, the superstar was humble in her answer.

“I don’t want to claim that we’re guilty of all charges here, but I do feel that there is this special chemistry between us four,” she said, in reference to her fellow coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and of course, Usher. Yes - we agree. Their chemistry is definitely better than what was between American Idol's Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

“I don’t know, we just have fun and I think that translates into the audience,” Shaki also said.
