At yesterday’s airing of the 2011 Do Something! Awards, Demi Lovato gave viewers a spine-tingling performance. For the first time ever on television, the 18-year-old actress/singer performed her hit single “Skyscraper,” which earned the number one spot on iTunes earlier this summer following its release.
Dressed in a beige dress with silver accents, Lovato’s performance brought audience members to their feet.
The awards ceremony, which was held in Hollywood this past Sunday but aired yesterday on VH1, awards young people who are ‘do-ers’ and fight for causes to improve the world. In addition to her powerful performance, Lovato also took home two awards; Charity Song for her duet “Make a Wave” with ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and Do Something TV Star for her involvement in “Join the Surge,” a movement encouraging teenagers to become involved in different causes.
