Demi Lovato is getting real and uncensored about the struggles that come with recovery for MTV's new documentary Demi Lovato: Stay Strong. In 2010, the 19-year-old singer and actress entered a rehabilitation center in Chicago where she spent a few months battling an eating disorder and deep emotional issues rooted from her childhood. Lovato may be back on track and healthy now, but she revealed that her fans inspired her to show the truth about recovery.
Lovato expressed in a statement, "I wanted to share my story but I knew it had to be honest, it had to be real. I have daily challenges but so do many kids who are struggling to feel comfortable in their own skin. If opening up and sharing my story inspires even one person to stay strong or to get the help they need, I've succeeded."
Demi Lovato: Stay Strong premieres Mar. 6th at 10pm Eastern on MTV. Will you be watching?
