Christina Aguilera sat down with Matt Lauer on the Today show this morning and opened up about the last year of her life and how The Voice has inspired her to rise above all the set-backs she's recently experienced. "This was a year of highs and lows and many things, you know," Aguilera admits. "Going through a divorce in the public eye where things are going to be magnified and speculated about and judged."
When Lauer asks her directly about the rumors that some of her so-called friends told the press that they wanted to stage an intervention, Aguilera responds, "I think there were some definite ex, disgruntled employees along the way that whenever things happen they want to kick you when you're down."
"Right now I feel like I've found my true friends and the people who are really there for me," she adds.
