In May, a Latino won American Idol, and thanks to two fantastic performances in last night's semifinals, two Latinos (Vicci Martinez and Javier Colon) have a good shot at winning NBC’s hit singing competition, The Voice!
Martinez, who is known for her "war dance" onstage, was the picture of confidence as she rocked out to the Florence + The Machine song, "Dog Days Are Over." The talented singer-songwriter from Tacoma, Washington showed tons of personality (more than ever before), and as usual, her voice was pitch-perfect. But what we love most about Vicci's performance last night is that she looked like she was having the time of her life on stage! Meanwhile, Javier Colon's soft tone of voice proved to be a perfect match for his performance of Coldplay's "Fix You."
On tonight's all-new episode, the top 8 (which also includes 15-year-old Latina, Xenia), will be narrowed down to the final four, and we think both Vicci and Javier deserve to be in the finals. Do you agree?
