Extra host Mario Lopez and his very pregnant girlfriend Courtney Mazza are about to have their lives taped for TV. The couple—currently expecting their first child—will star in a reality series for VH1 this fall. The untitled series will focus on Lopez’s efforts to adjust to the demands of fatherhood, while pulling double-duty as the host of NBC’s Extra and MTV’s America Best Dance Crew. Courtney is due in September.
Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President of Original Programming for VH1 said, "This new series fits perfectly with VH1's programming because Mario's upcoming life changes reflect the same family milestones that many of our viewers are experiencing for the first time."
The show is being executive produced by Cris Abrego (Flavor of Love, I Love New York) and eight half-hour episodes have already been ordered.
