11 Latinos Who Have Guest Starred on 'The Simpsons'

There’s another Latina making her way to Springfield! TV Guide has announced that Eva Longoria will be doing the voice of a new character to appear on Fox’s The Simpsons next season.

Eva is just one of the handfuls of Latino stars who have been Simpsonized throughout time. Here are 11 Latinos who have voiced Simpson characters:

1. Simpsons: Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria: While talking to TV Guide, Eva shared a few detalles surrounding her character on The Simpsons. "I play Isabel, a new student who is finally Lisa's intellectual equal," she said. "They ­become fast friends, and then things take a left turn when they realize they have different political views. This is a big stretch for me not only because it's voice work, which I rarely do, but also [because] I'm playing a Republican and I'm obviously a Democrat."

2. Simpsons: Tito Puente

Tito Puente: Tito was a recurring guest star on The Simpsons, appearing as himself in “Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part One” in season six and “Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part Two” in season seven.

3. Simpsons: Jose Canseco

Jose Canseco: The former baseball star appeared as himself in “Homer at the Bat” in season three. According to commentary on the season three DVD, Jose disliked his original part in the episode and insisted it be rewritten.

4. Simpsons: Lea Michele

Lea Michele: In true Glee fashion, Lea appeared on The Simpsons as Sarah -- a singing summer camper who welcomes Lisa to her bunk with the song “Good Vibrations.”

5. Simpsons: Charo

Charo: The singer had a quick stint in season 13 in the episode “The Old Man and the Key.” Charo comes on screen in a red dress singing, “My name is Charo. I shake my maracas!”

6. Simpsons: Oscar de la Hoya

Oscar de la Hoya: The Mexican boxing legend appeared as himself in “Treehouse of Horror XIV,” the first episode of the show’s 15thseason. Bart moves him into the Simpsons home after he and Millhouse stopped time.

7. Simpsons: Antonio Fargas

Antonio Fargas: The 66-year-old actor played a character named Huggy Bear in season 17’s “Bart Has Two Mommies.”

8. Simpsons: Placido Domingo

Placido Domingo: Spanish Opera singer Placido guest starred as himself in “Homer of Seville.” Homer does some opera singing with Placido in this episode.

9. Simpsons: Cheech Marin

Cheech Marin: Comedian Cheech paid Springfield a visit as himself in season 22’s “A Midsummer’s Nice Dream.” The episode was a play on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the Cheech & Chong movie Nice Dreams.

10. Simpsons: Andy Garcia

Andy Garcia: The Godfather star played a Publisher who Lisa submits her book to in The Simpsons’ season 23 episode “The Book Job.”

11. Simpsons: Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima

Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima: Retired Brazilian soccer player Ronaldo is the only soccer player to ever appear on the show. He guest starred on the episode “Marge Gamer.”
