'The Glades' is Canceled

After four seasons, A&E has decided to ax The Glades!

The Glades, which followed a Chicago detective who takes a job with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, starred Matt Passmore, Kiele Sanchez, Uriah Shelton, Carlos Gomez, Jordan Wall and Michelle Hurd. It was the first scripted series on A&E to last more than one season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, during the fourth season, the show averaged 2.6 million viewers on its Monday 9 p.m. slot.

"Thank you all for four great seasons of !" Wrote the series writers via a statement on Twitter. "We're sorry that we weren't able to end the show on the note that we wanted, but we're happy that you let us be part of your lives for a few weeks every summer! Our run on A&E is over, but who knows lies in our future."

They finished their statement off by saying, "Now if you don't mind, it's Friday and we all just lost our jobs, so I'm going to crack open a beer. Thanks for the memories, my friends."

Were you a fan of The Glades? Are you sad it's over?
