You can watch a lot on YouTube these days. Telemundo must have noticed, because Latin Gossip reports that the Spanish-language network is set to launch two channels on the video-sharing website!
The channels will reportedly feature short-form programming and clips. Huge fans of telenovelas will most likely be delighted to hear that they will also be able to get their soap opera fix with English subtitles – a first for Telemundo.
Telemundo will also have a second YouTube channel featuring mun2 promotional clips and original bilingual content from its sister network. Rapid TV News reports that Rodrigo Velloso, who heads the Hispanic and Latin content at YouTube, spoke about the company’s feeling towards the new partnership. “We are thrilled that our platform will help create and foster connections between Telemundo's wonderful content and the large and dynamic group of Hispanic users currently active on YouTube,” he said. We can’t wait to see how many people the channels attract!
