Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry Avoids Custody Battle

Teen dad Jonathan "Jo" Rivera will not be facing a family court judge, as earlier TMZ reports speculated after his arrest last week in New Jersey.

Kailyn Lowry, star of MTV’s Teen Mom, denies rumors of a custody battle for sole guardianship of their one-year-old son, Isaac, because Rivera was busted smoking pot in his brother’s car.

"All I'm saying don't believe everything you hear," Kailyn tweeted yesterday.

E! News reported that sources close to Kailyn confirm the 18-year-old has no plans to alter the custody agreement because of her baby daddy's recent behavior.

A 19-year-old Rivera was arrested by police in Lopatcong Township, NJ after officers noticed sparks underneath the car he was in.

He was accompanying his 23-year-old brother Edward, who was charged on multiple accounts, including driving under the influence and unsuspended license, according to E! News. Because he was in the passenger’s seat, Rivera was only charged for being under the influence of marijuana.

Overall, this month just hasn’t been a good one for this teen mom. She crashed her car two weeks ago in Pennsylvania because she “looked down to get something.”

“Yeah, no one was hurt except my bank account will be feeling it when I have to get a car eventually,” she twitted.

What do you think? Should she fight to have sole guardianship of Isaac?
