"Team Shakira, Latinos!": Shakira Steals Karina Iglesias from Adam Levine on ‘The Voice’

NBC

The battle is on! And Shakira came out on top. Last night’s The Voice featured its first batch of battle rounds, where contestants on the same teams duke it out to see who advances. The night’s best battle came by way Team Adam featuring former Michael Jackson backup singer, Judith Hill, and rocker Karina Iglesias singing James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man's Man's World.” Hill and Iglesias went toe-to-toe, high note-to-high note, and stage-swag to-stage-swag.

In the end, Levine went with Hill but thanks to the “steal” option Iglesias still had a shot to move. Before she could utter a full sentence, Shakira snagged Iglesias for her team. “Team Shakira, Latinos!” screamed Iglesias. Now, Shak has all but one of the Latina contestants on the show. Are you surprised? We’re not. Go Shak! Watch Hill and Iglesias’ duel below and tell us what you think in the comments.
