When we first met Chris Medina on American Idol a couple of weeks ago, the 26-year-old Illinois native touched our hearts—and Jennifer Lopez’s heart—when he told the judges about his girlfriend, Juliana Ramos, who suffered a near fatal car accident just two months before their wedding that left her with a traumatic brain injury.
J.Lo was a big fan of Medina's, not only because of his talent and potential as a singer, but also because of how he stuck by Ramos' side throughout the tragic ordeal. "What kind of guy would I be if I walked out when she needed me the most?" Medina asked during his interview.
TMZ is now reporting that Medina’s Idol journey will come to an end this week on American Idol, and that J.Lo couldn't help but cry when it was time to send him home. Sending Chris home was reportedly so hard on Lopez that Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler had to talk her through it, and after she cried, the Idol hair and makeup team had to give her a touch-up. Medina’s disabled fiancée was reportedly not present during his elimination.
