Comedic bombshell Sofia Vergara has teamed up with über-producer Ben Silverman to executive produce a new single-camera sitcom based on the popular Spanish language series, Aquí no hay quien viva (loosely translated as I Hate It Here).

The show marks the Modern Family starlets first foray into television production and Silverman's return to NBC after a rocky two-year stint as the co-chair of the Peacock Network that ended in the summer of 2009. Aquí no hay quien viva follows an uptight, old school father and his lazy son as they struggle to manage the tenants of an ancient apartment building that has been in the family for generations. It will follow in the same vein as Modern Family, shot documentary style and infused with multicultural and multigenerational elements.

Aquí no hay quien viva ran from 2003-2006 in Spain, and was then rebroadcast all over Latin America.
