Sofia Vergara has been named the highest paid actress on television, according to Forbes. The Colombian actress made a cool $19 million a year, and only part of that came from her role as the funny and sharp-tongued, Gloria Pritchett, on ABC’s hit show, Modern Family.
Sofia earned more than $12 million in the past year thanks to endorsement deals with Pepsi and Covergirl, and her own clothing and home décor line with Kmart. Since joining the cast in 2009, the 40-year-old actress, who recently sparked engagement rumors, has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards.
The Latina sitcom star managed to beat out Eva Longoria’s position as one of the highest paid actresses for her gig on Desperate Housewives, along with various endorsement deals (like her one with Loreal). Eva reportedly made $13 million from 2010 to 2011.
Congrats to Sofia! What do you think about the news?
