The comedian is set to host the finale episode of SNL this season with Rihanna as the musical guest, MTV News reports. Both stars have previously headlined SNL with show stopping performances, including Louis C.K.’s “Third World Hunger” monologue and Rihanna’s “Ronnie & Clyde” skit with character “Shy Ronnie”. The singer also previously graced the stage with memorable performances, including “Diamonds” and a touching “Stay” performance.
This isn’t the first time SNL is pairing two unlikely guests together, either. Scarlett Johansson and Wiz Khalifa will pair up for the May 2 episode, and Reese Witherspoon will appear with Florence + The Machine on May 9, just after the premiere day of Hot Pursuit on May 8.
Despite having never worked together, we can imagine Louis C.K.’s humor and Rihanna’s fiery personality will go hand-in-hand on live television. We can only hope that the two will even be in a skit together.
Catch the finale of Saturday Night Live on Saturday, May 16 at 11:30/10:30c on NBC.
