‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ Returns For a Second Season

Move over Los Angeles and New York housewives!

The Real Housewives of Miami are making a comeback after premiering to low ratings back in February of last year. Despite cancellation rumors, Bravo never officially confirmed that they were pulling the plug on the Miami ‘housewives’ franchise.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the original cast is set to return including: basketball wife Larsa Pippen, Brazilian art dealer Adriana De Moura, Cuban-American and former basketball wife Cristy Rice, public relations guru Marysol Patton, ‘the mayor of Miami’ Lea Black, and publishing star Alexia Echevarria. Word has it that they may include additions to the cast, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Shooting is expecting to begin soon.

With help from the production company Purveyors of Pop, the network hopes to create the same success they have seen with the New York, New Jersey, and Atlanta franchises. Last year, the Miami season finale only garnered 700,000 viewers while the Atlanta series snagged 4.4 million viewers.

We hope they bring back Patton’s mother and the breakthrough star of the show, Elsa Patton. There were so many memorable scenes with the Cuban reality television personality including her classic “I’m a lady” comment when her daughter was telling her to put the wine glass down.
