Get ready to say farewell to Stacey Dash's character Val on VH1's hit show, Single Ladies.
Today, the half-Mexican star (and VH1) both released statements to the effect that Dash would not be returning to the hit show for season 2. "I truly enjoyed playing Val on 'Single Ladies', but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in LA with my children right now and the 'Single Ladies' shooting location makes that impossible," Stacey said in an official statement. "I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one.” In a statement of their own, VH1 thanked Dash for "all her hard work in making 'Single Ladies' a success right out of the gate."
The news of Dash's departure comes after months of rumors that the actress was having problems on the set of the hit show with her costar LisaRaye McCoy, who plays Dash's character's best friend, Keisha on the show.
While we're really sad to see Dash leave the show (we love Val!), we do think this would be a great opportunity for VH1 to replace the half-Mexican actress with another talented Latina star! So tell us:
